FCC is an independent non-denominational church. We place great emphasis in teaching the Bible chapter-by-chapter, and verse-by-verse. Our statement of faith is here to keep us on track, and help everyone understand who we are and what we are about. We value people over process. At FCC we also believe in keeping the main things, the main things.
At First Christian Church of Texhoma, we value discipleship and teaching the Bible chapter-by-chapter, and verse-by-verse. We have several ministries that both you and your family will thrive in and grow closer to Jesus.
Keeping the main things, the main things. We believe wholeheartedly in the exposition of scripture and valuing people over process. If you’re wondering about how we feel on a number of issues like leadership, worship, evangelism, eschatology and a whole bunch of other things, this is where you’ll find the info!
The Scriptures place a high moral standard on those who would be ministers of the Gospel. Therefore we expect moral and ethical integrity among those with whom are in leadership. Biblical guidelines for elders, as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Our Senior Pastor and our Board of Directors form what’s more appropriately called a Band of Brothers. We believe in an honest, open approach to leadership that is rooted in the Bible, seasoned with love, and a mutual respect for the call that God has in our lives. We are committed to pursuing the Lord in every decision we make, and if conflict arises we use the guidelines from Matthew 18 for restoration and peace. We recognize that this is God’s church, not ours. We are merely stewards of what He has built here in Texhoma. There are no egos, no golden calf, and no perfect people.
