Who we are
We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible. God is the only Sovereign Creator. God is a spiritual being. He is Holy (without sin), all knowing, all powerful, and eternal.
Jesus is God's only son and he came in the flesh as our Savior. He will return in the future in bodily form as the victorious Lord of the universe.
The Holy Spirit lives with those who believe in Jesus Christ. He is our comforter, our advocate, and he helps us to become more like Jesus in thought, deed, and character by living the lifestyle that Jesus showed us.
Why Do We Need a Relationship With Jesus?
Jesus is not an optional accessory to our life. He is the heartbeat of all that we are called to be and do. Our sin leads us into rebellion against God, we have enthroned ourselves in Jesus' rightful place. By our faith in who Jesus is, we should daily surrender to Christ's Kingship, repent of our sin, give up control and come under the rule of the One True King, Jesus. From there we learn discipleship and followership as we submit to God's Word and learn dependence upon the Spirit. Only Jesus can bring us that kind of change, not just a facelift, but a total reconstruction.
What it means to be a member…
"Membership" is often seen simply as an organizational ritual. However, here at FCC we see membership as a step of spiritual growth.
- It identifies me as a genuine believer. Ephesians 2:19
- It provides me a spiritual family to support and encourage me. Galatians 6:1-2
- It gives me a place to discover and use my gifts in ministry. 1 Corinthians 12:4-17
- It places me under hte spiritual protection of Godly leaders. Hebrews 13:17
- It gives me the accountability I need to grow in my spiritual walk.
We want members to grow in thier faith and spiritaul gifts. Membership means serving, so to be a member of FCC we ask that you do two things.
- 1. Belong to a Connection group. This allows you to develop your spiritual gifts. Galatians 5:22-24
- 2. Find a place to serve, a ministry that allows you to discover and develop your spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:4-17
